Our school focuses on key areas including continued improvement in literacy and numeracy outcomes, implementation of the National Curriculum, reinvigorating inquiry learning in science as a Science Spark School, enhancing the school ICTs program and continuing the recognized excellent practices which support students and contribute to the positive school culture. There is a keen focus on differentiating learning to meet the needs of all students as individuals throughout all classes of the school.
Our school’s explicit improvement agenda as a Literacy and Numeracy National Partnership School is supported by a literacy/numeracy coach and a team of highly capable staff. Information and communication technologies are integral to class programs with all classrooms having internet connectivity, interactive whiteboards and desktop computers. A newly-established Media Centre enhances IT opportunities for classes and the school media club.
The school is highly regarded for its participation and numerous successes in a range of academic and extra-curricular activities - Maths, English, Science and Languages Other Than English (LOTE, German) competitions, a number of choirs and concert bands, excellent bi-annual school musical productions and successes in sport. A new hall serves the school’s development of the Arts while a new library supports learning across all areas of the curriculum.
